The Peregrine White Cradle

Licensed by Pilgrim Hall Museum, Plymouth, MA

According to tradition, William and Susanna White brought this cradle to the new world, probably from Holland, in anticipation of the birth of their child. Their son, Peregrine (meaning "traveler" or "pilgrim"), was born in November of 1620 on board the Mayflower as the ship lay anchored in Provincetown Harbor.

The Petticoat Porch is grateful for the help and cooperation of the Pilgrim Hall Museum in Plymouth, Massachusetts where the original cradle is on display. This institution contributed its expert advice and valuable resources in the development of this cradle in miniature. The purchase price includes a royalty to help Pilgrim Hall Museum continue its important work.

This Limited Edition Cradle comes in an acrylic display case with a signed card denoting the edition number.
